MANAGEMENT IS KEY — provide plenty of fresh clean water and access to shade, improve ventilation and cooling with fans and misters, restrict exercise or ride only during cooler times of the day, use cold water or rubbing alcohol to cool as needed.
Add an electrolyte into daily feeding routine (KER Restore SR or Platinum Refresh).
Acupuncture once weekly for 3 weeks, then reassess progress and continue every other week depending on initial response.
Other options to consider include adding an herbal formula (New Xiang Ru San) and/or a dark beer (Guinness) to daily diet.
